Are there any Jesse Malin fans aware of his old band DGeneration & are there DGEN fans aware of his solo work?

I love the new Jesse Malin "Glitter in the Gutter". It even has a Bruce Springsteen duet on it. I was a huge fan of DGeneration but didnt care for Jesse's first two solo albums. I was curious if anyone who likes Jesse now liked him as a glam-punk singer in DGeneration or if anyone has followed his career straight through.
