I need some advice and help!!!?

my mom has a big cut on her leg that she got when she fell on the steps in the pool about two weeks ago! well it hasnt heel.. and she has put everything on it and it still a open wound she went to the doc on monday they gave her some pill to take and she still in pain and wit the open wound and its still infected!!! what is that!!! it wont go away ether.. an the doc dum!!!
