Bright red blood present when whiping (fecal) ? ? ? ? ? ?

Hey everyone, I travel on weekends and this weekend after returning home from Michigan, I noticed after using the bathroom, that there was a little bit of bright red blood on the toilet paper upon "cleaning up". I did not notice a change in color in the water, or anything else, and it did not drop into the water. It was present on the TP, and appeared on 3 wipes (smaller than a fingernail size of blood), then no more. Over the weekend I ate a ton of granola, rice, and sat for extended periods of time. I did have gas for 2 days prior to this appearing, and also ate 3 12" meatball subs, and a cheeseburger this weekend. I did not have to strain to use the restroom, and there was no pain. I am 26 years old, and would just like to know if I should be worried about this, or if it something minimal. My worst fear is that it is colon cancer, which is not genetic in my family. Please give any input, as I am very worried about this
