I got a Monroe piercing a week ago, and the back of the labret is digging into my mouth still. Is this bad?

I went back to the piercer once and got a longer post, but it's still digging in enough that there's an imprint. Also, it looks like there's a canker sore in the imprint, which I'm worried about. Any suggestions?
