What's emo and emo music?

ok, first of all, I love The Academy Is... and like The Rocket Summer, and The Audition, and Coheed and Cambria, Sherwood, and The Hush sound, something corporate, and Jack's Mannequin. my friends are are all worried about me cause they think im going to go emo. im really happy, all the time. and really gullible. so basically, theres no possible way i could go emo. but, then i wear the chuck taylor hightops, and i have like 10 pairs of them. i shop at pac sun and hot topic and wear band shirts a lot. i wear the thick gles, just cause im legally blind. and i play the piano, and the guitar, and play a lot of emo songs. i do not cut myself. im very social. i go to starbucks... a lot. so, in ur opinion, am i turning emo, or am i just a very unique person amongst my preppy friends?
