You're lucky. But in some respects you're probably not that lucky. If you got it from somewhere like, say, PC World, or Dixons, you'd have one HELL of a job getting anything positive out of this experience. You can't expect to get a refund though, but you could try asking for your money back. Even so, you may only just be able to get away with buying a different model of laptop.
